First off, let me just say this, I believe that 99% of all the truck drivers out there are safe professional drivers. I commend them for their hard work, long hours, and their dedication to get our products and goods to their destinations.
I also believe there are a small percentage of drivers who do not have the same dedication to safety and professionalism. Those are the one's that concern me and those are the one's who make the roads a dangerous place for everyone else. After too many close calls and finally one close call that put me and my family just inches from serious injury or death, I decided it was time to do something.
I found that the CHP and DOT really do not have the time or inclination to respond to motorists concerns in regard to trucks, so I felt it was time for someone to care and take action. This is why i created this blog, a place to go to post pictures, truck information, and your own close calls with those 80,000 lbs vehicles that frequent Americas roadways.
This blog is a work in progress and information will be added daily if possible. My goal is to create a user friendly place to come and easliy post information which in turn will be seen by those who can do something. I do not believe there one place anywhere to go and see how many drivers are put in danger each and every day by unprofessional truck drivers. Perhaps if the right people see a wealth of information, the DOT and Highway Patrol Departments of America will be inclined to to beef up patrols, and actually respond to the calls for help that now go ignored.
